Terms of use and commercial conditions
Last updated: 1 August 2026. These terms are published in Italian and English; in case of conflicting interpretation, the Italian version prevails.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
CF Ready is a Shopify application developed and distributed by Temisfera (“we”). These terms govern use of the app by the merchant who installs it in their store (“you”). By installing or using the app you accept these terms.
The app is distributed through the Shopify App Store and these terms are additional to Shopify’s own terms, which continue to govern your relationship with Shopify.
2. What the app does
CF Ready lets you make the Codice Fiscale and the PEC address optional or required in the localized tax fields of Shopify’s Italian checkout, and checks that they are formally correct before the order is completed.
3. What the app does not do
This article is an essential part of the agreement. By accepting these terms you acknowledge that:
- validation is formal only. The app does not verify with the Italian Revenue Agency or any public register that a Codice Fiscale exists, is active or belongs to the person entering it, and it does not certify that a formally valid address corresponds to an actually active certified email mailbox;
- the app does not determine your tax obligations and does not establish whether or when you must collect your customers’ Codice Fiscale;
- the app does not constitute tax, accounting or legal advice and does not replace the opinion of a qualified professional;
- the app does not issue, transmit or store invoices and does not handle Italian electronic invoicing in any way;
- the app does not handle VAT numbers or SDI recipient codes, does not operate in POS and does not modify orders that already exist;
- subsequent generations of recurring subscription orders are not covered: the validation surface made available by Shopify runs at checkout and not on the automatic renewals that follow.
4. Requirements
The app operates on stores whose country is Italy and requires Shopify to expose the localized tax fields of the Italian checkout. It does not require Shopify Plus and introduces no functional differences between the app’s pricing options. If the store is not eligible, the app says so and starts no trial and no payment.
5. Behaviour on error
The app is designed not to block legitimate sales. If the configuration cannot be read, if the tax fields are unavailable, if the usage right has expired or if a technical error occurs, validation produces no errors and checkout stays open. It follows that the app cannot be treated as an infallible safeguard: you remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you collect and for the obligations that follow from it.
6. Free trial
The app includes a 14-day free trial, available once per store. During the trial all features are active and nothing is charged. At the end, if you do not choose a payment option, validation stops taking effect in the checkout and the configuration you set up is preserved.
7. Prices, payment options and renewals
The app is available in three options: monthly subscription, annual subscription and one single payment. The prices in force are shown in the Shopify App Store and inside the app at the time you choose, and those are the ones that apply.
All payments are handled by Shopify through its app billing system: amounts are charged by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, according to its cycles and conditions. We never receive your card details and we do not issue the charge document. For invoices, receipts and billing disputes you must contact Shopify.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until you cancel. The price granted to you when you subscribed remains valid as long as you maintain commercial continuity, including when moving between options; no price is changed retroactively. We may change prices for the future with notice; changes never apply to a period already paid for.
8. One single payment
One single payment for this Shopify store, with no renewals. It includes app updates and support at no additional cost.
The right acquired through this option applies to a single store, is not transferable to other stores, and is recognised again if the app is reinstalled on the same store. If you move to this option from an active subscription, the amount already paid for the current, unused period is taken into account in proportion to the remaining days.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, not immediately: until then you keep using the app without restrictions. There is no pro-rata refund for unused days. At expiry, validation stops taking effect in the checkout and your configuration is preserved, so you can resume later without setting everything up again.
Uninstalling the app stops the service; to stop recurring charges you must also cancel the subscription through Shopify.
10. Refunds
There are no automatic refunds. We assess each substantiated request manually, and we typically grant a refund in case of duplicate charges, a serious technical problem that cannot be resolved, or an error attributable to the app. We normally do not refund a simple change of mind after the free trial, which exists precisely so you can evaluate the app at no cost.
A full refund of a purchase made under the “one single payment” option revokes the corresponding usage right; a partial refund preserves it, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
11. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app in compliance with the law and with Shopify’s terms, not to attempt to circumvent its licence checks, not to decompile or resell it, and not to send us your customers’ personal data when requesting support. You are responsible for the information you enter in the configuration, including the messages shown to your customers.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the app running and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or defect-free availability. The app depends on third-party services, in particular Shopify, whose changes may require adjustments or temporarily affect how it works. We may update the app, change its features and suspend it for maintenance.
Should we decide to discontinue the service, we would give reasonable notice, and for those who purchased under the “one single payment” option we would consider compensation proportionate to the circumstances.
13. Liability
The app is provided as is, with the limitations stated in article 3 and the behaviour described in article 5. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, lost orders, or tax or administrative consequences arising from data collected or not collected through the checkout. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed what you paid us for the app in the twelve months preceding the event.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate the service in case of material breach of these terms, fraudulent use or non-payment. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the app. Termination does not affect obligations already accrued. Data handling after termination is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app or the applicable law changes. The version published on this page is the one in force and shows the date it was last updated. Substantial changes are announced inside the app; continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from them falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, save for mandatory rules that may designate a different venue.
